Office of Divisional Director (Health), Chattogram  is one of the executive and controlling office under DGHS and MOHFW. The prime work of this office is to ensure health services through different health facilities in 11 districts and 103 upazilas in Chattogram Division. This office also implements different programs of DGHS & MOHFW. Director (Health) is the head of office and he is supported by one deputy director. There are other 47 posts of officers and staffs excluding three assistant directors. Civil surgeons (CS) and Upazial Health & Family Planning Officer (UHFPO) are the executive head in districts and upazilas , respectively. Besides these, there are six 250 bed district hospitals , headed by Hospital Superintendent ( Deputy Director ) and five 100 bed hospitals . headed by Civil Surgeon, in this division.
